AmandaJohanssonStudio is an image-making studio with 20 years of extensive international experience in photography production within both the arts and the fashion industry, merging knowledge by focusing on the collaborative exchange between the creative- and commercial industries. Amanda Johansson has a Bachelor in Art from LCC, UCAL, and a Master in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
I look at photography and the notion of play and performance, investigating how machine driven actions that aim to represent that which is already present, may also have the ability to produce the new.
Commercially, the studio has a strong focus on creative and collaborative solutions to visual branding. The organic understanding of a situation made by the collaborators involved are of crucial importance and AmandaJohanssonStudio works closely with a wide range of experienced creatives within the industry, helping both future and established brands to develop and define their visual identity.
Since 2020 the studio is in a collaborative partnership with creative brand developer and Art Director Ulrike Strehl, working under the name Studio Strehl-Johansson. As brand consultants and creative strategists, Strehl-Johansson provide services that will help brands to professionally develop and define their identity both conceptually and visually, bridging their sustainable aims with a playful and creative visual image.
